The short answer
All four let guests join from a QR code with no app download, and all four have a free tier for small events. The real differences are size, extras and how much control you get.
- Choose POV if you want the most established app. It has by far the most App Store ratings of the four.
- Choose Lense if you need video clips or a live photo wall on a screen at the venue.
- Choose Once if you host from an iPhone and love the film-roll idea.
- Choose Everlens if you want guests to see and save the album without creating an account, and you want to decide whether guests see everything or only their own photos.

Everlens
Everlens is the newest and smallest of the four, built around one idea: a disposable camera your guests open from a QR code. You choose how many photos each guest gets, when the photos appear, and whether guests see the whole album or only their own shots. After the reveal, guests open the same link to save their favorites, with no account.
It takes photos only, with no video and no live slideshow. If you need those, look at Lense or POV.
POV
POV is the best-known app in this group, with more than 15,000 ratings on the US App Store. Guests can shoot in the app or upload from their camera roll, and POV also sells printed photobooks. Paid business plans add custom branding and a live slideshow, which suits conferences, venues and company events.
Lense
Lense has a strong set of extras: a live photo wall included with every event, video clips and unlimited captures as add-ons, and packages up to 500 guests. It also offers a refund if fewer than 50 photos and videos were uploaded. Guests enter a name before they start.
Once
Once describes itself as a premium app, built around a shared film roll. You set the duration and the number of shots, and the album develops when the time is up. Guests join with no sign-up, but they create an account if they want to keep or download their photos. Its site links only to the App Store for hosts.
Which one fits your event?
For a wedding, all four work, so choose by what matters most to you: an established name, extras on the day, or simple control over who sees what. Whatever you choose, test it first at a smaller event like a bridal shower. Every app here has a free tier for that.
Questions
What is the best disposable camera app for a wedding?
It depends on what you need. POV is the most established, Lense has video and a live photo wall, Once has the film-roll idea, and Everlens gives you simple control over who sees what with no account for guests. All four have a free tier, so you can try before you decide.
Is there a free disposable camera app?
Yes. Everlens, POV, Lense and Once all have a free tier for small events. Larger events use a paid package.
Do guests need to download an app?
No, not with any of these four. Guests scan a QR code and the camera opens on their phone.
Do these apps work on Android?
Guests on Android can join all four. If you are the host on Android, Everlens, POV and Lense link to an Android app. Once's site links only to the App Store.
Are disposable camera apps a subscription?
Everlens, Lense and Once charge once per event, with no subscription. POV prices by guest count.
We make Everlens, so please read this with that in mind. We checked competitor details on their own websites and the US App Store on 6 November 2026. "Not stated" means we could not find it there, not that the feature is missing. Spot something outdated? Email hello@wizarddynamics.com and we will fix it. POV, Lense and Once are trademarks of their owners, and we are not affiliated with them.
