QR code for wedding photos: how to set it up
A QR code only works if guests notice it, trust it and can use it in seconds. Here is how to set one up so people actually shoot.

Six steps to a QR code guests actually use
Create the code
Create your event in the Everlens app, which takes about a minute. Pick the date and how many photos each guest gets, then tap Go live. You get one QR code and one link, and every guest uses the same code.
Put it where guests already look
Tables are the obvious spot, but one code on a table is easy to miss. Add it to the invite, the seating chart, the bar and a screen if you have one. You can print the poster straight from the app.
Say what it does on the sign
Guests scan faster when they know what happens next. Keep it short, for example: “Be our photographer tonight. Scan to open the camera. Nothing to download. We'll reveal the photos together.”
Have someone announce it
Ask your DJ, MC or best man to mention it once during dinner. A single line from the microphone reaches the guests who never read the table sign.
Test it at the venue
Before the day, scan the code on an iPhone and on an Android phone. Check the signal in the room. If it's poor, share the Wi-Fi with your guests next to the code.
Reveal and download
After the wedding, reveal the album. Every guest's shots appear together, and you can download them in full resolution.
Shared album or guest camera?
A QR code can lead to two different things. A shared album asks guests to upload photos they already took, which usually means sorting through a camera roll later on. Many people mean to do it and never get around to it.
A guest camera like Everlens opens right when they scan, so the shots are taken and collected in the moment. Photos stay hidden until you reveal them, which gives guests a reason to keep shooting.

Questions
Do guests need to download an app to use the QR code?
No. On iPhone, the QR code opens an instant App Clip. On every other phone, it opens in the browser. The camera opens straight away, with nothing to download and no sign-up. Only the host uses the app.
Do we need a different code for every table?
No. Every guest uses the same code, wherever you put it.
Can we print the QR code before the wedding?
Yes. Create and pay for your event whenever you like and print the code early. Guests can only join once you tap Go live, and you can change the end date anytime.
What if the venue has bad signal?
Guests need a connection to join. On iPhone, every photo is saved on the phone first and the upload is retried automatically if the signal drops. On other phones, photos upload right away, so guests need a connection while shooting. If your venue has poor signal, share the Wi-Fi with your guests.
Don’t miss half of it.
Set up your event in about a minute. Your guests do the rest.
